LEADERSHIP & STAFF

As an elder-led church, we are careful to follow the New Testament’s qualifications for men who shepherd the flock. Our leaders and staff consider it a privilege to serve and disciple the body of believers at Riverview. We hope you’ll get to know them better through the bios below—and in person!

David Fry

Lead Pastor
Dave is a passionate follower of Jesus, dedicated to nurturing mature disciples and fostering gospel-centered growth. He obtained a bachelor's degree in music and theology from The Master's College in 1997, and later earned a Master of Divinity from The Master's Seminary in 2000. Since 2003, he has served as the lead pastor at Riverview Church. Beyond the pulpit, my heart finds solace in the great outdoors. Whether it's hunting, fishing, or honing my archery skills, he's always found a profound connection to God's creation. Dave has been married to Melissa since 1996. Together, they have three incredible children who continually remind him of the beauty of family, love, and God's grace.

Seth Jones

Pastor of Worship and Discipleship
Seth and Karen have been married since 2018 and have two enthusiastic boys, Charlie and Jack. Currently, Seth is a PhD student at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is also a graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Boyce College, and Word of Life Bible Institute. Seth loves to teach, write, and discuss anything related to biblical theology. He also enjoys wearing many hats for the sake of the Kingdom of God. Part Bible nerd, part IT guy, part musician wannabe, and full-time disciple of Jesus, he's the kind of guy you want on your side whether you're battling a computer bug or pondering the meaning of life from a biblical perspective..

Calvin Kirk

Pastor of Youth and Family
Calvin graduated from Boyce College with a biblical and theological studies BA and is pursuing further education at The Master’s Seminary. Calvin is passionate about biblical theology, family ministry, discipleship, and counseling in the local church. He also enjoys coffee, hiking, and reading fiction literature. Calvin and his wife, Grace, have been married since 2019 and have one precious baby girl, Charlotte.

He holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies focusing on biblical studies and currently works at Progressive Insurance. He and his wife, Amy, have been part of the Riverview family since 2009. The Lord has blessed them with three young sons, Grant, Trevin, and Ryden. Todd's goal in ministry is to make God's glory known and to help others live biblically changed lives.

Steve Blake

Elder
From an early age of knowing Jesus, Steve desires to serve others and lead when given the opportunity. After four years in the United States Marine Corps, he enrolled at the University of Phoenix and earned his BA in Business Management/Communication. Currently, Steve works in the manufacturing industry. He married his high school sweetheart Sarah in 2011, and they have three children together. In his spare time, Steve enjoys the outdoors, hunting, hiking with his family, and splitting wood. Steve's passion in life is to honor God, to proclaim the truth of the gospel, and to make disciples

Paul Howard

Elder
Paul became a believer in Christ at age 19 while attending college. He holds a BS in chemistry and PhD in biochemistry, and is semi-retired after 10 years in academia and 33 years in US government service. He and Melissa married in 1977 and have two children and seven grandchildren. Together, their passion is service to the Lord’s church, especially small group ministries. Paul has been involved in small group leadership since before his marriage, convinced that small groups teach and encourage believers to be transformed by obedience to the Word of God.
